End of day

End of day (POS → End of day) shows how much your shop sold. For the days you choose, it shows Total sales and Number of sales, and a table with one row per day. It is a read-only report: it does not close the till or count cash.

Who can use this

Owner, Manager and Shop Manager can open End of day. Team Members cannot. See Roles and permissions.

Before you start

Sales are only counted once their payment has been confirmed in POS checkout.

Key concepts

Term Meaning
Period From date and To date, both included. Both start on today.
Counted sales Paid sales only. Unpaid, voided and refunded sales are left out.
Sale date The day the sale was started (when Pay was selected), counted in international time (UTC).
Total sales The sum of the sale totals, including VAT, after discounts, vouchers and points. Amounts paid by gift card are included.

How to review today's sales

  1. Open POS → End of day. Today is selected.
  2. Read Total sales and Number of sales.

How to review several days

  1. Choose a From date and a To date.
  2. The two cards show the totals for the whole period. Daily reports lists one row per day with Date, Number of sales and Total sales, newest first.
  3. Select Today to go back to today.

Rules to know

  • Days without paid sales are not listed. If there are none at all, you see "No paid sales found for this period."
  • The day changes at midnight international time (UTC), which is 01:00 Danish time in winter and 02:00 in summer. A sale made just after midnight Danish time is counted on the day before.
  • A sale started before midnight and paid after midnight is counted on the day it was started.
  • When a sale is refunded, it disappears from the day it was sold. The report does not show a minus line on the refund day, so a past day can show a lower total later.
  • Gift cards sold in Rewards are not POS sales and are not included.

What happens next

Nothing changes when you view End of day. No closing record, cash count or email is created.

Not available in this version

  • Cash drawer close, opening float, cash count and Z-report.
  • Totals split by payment method (cash, card, gift card and so on).
  • A list of refunds per day.

For trends over a week, month or year, use the Dashboard or Reports and exports.
