Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It gives a quick overview of the shop for a chosen period: paid sales, number of sales, open repair tickets and products running low, plus trend charts, a list of things that need attention and shortcuts to common tasks. Nothing on the Dashboard changes data; each item takes you to the screen where the work is done.

Who can use this

  • Everyone in the shop can open the Dashboard: Owner, Manager, Shop Manager and Team Member.
  • The sales figures and trends need access to reports. The Owner always has it; other staff only if the Owner has allowed them to view reports.

See Roles and permissions.

Before you start

  • For meaningful sales figures, sales must have been paid in POS checkout.
  • For low-stock signals, products need a Low-stock threshold above 0. See Catalog.

Key concepts

Term Meaning
Period This week (Monday to today), This month (the 1st to today) or This year (1 January to today). This month is selected when you open the page. Days follow your shop's local time.
Paid sales The total of paid sales started in the period. Refunded and voided sales are left out.
Transactions The number of those sales.
Open repair tickets Repair tickets that are not yet Collected or Cancelled, whatever the period.
Low stock The number of products at or below their low-stock threshold.

What you see

  1. Good morning (or afternoon/evening) with your shop name. If your shop has several locations, a Location line shows which one you are viewing.
  2. The period switch: This week, This month, This year.
  3. Four cards: Paid sales, Transactions, Open repair tickets and Low stock.
  4. Performance trends: charts for Total sales, Number of sales, Average revenue and Repair tickets. Switch with Show accumulated values / Show daily values and Show bar chart / Show area chart.
  5. Needs attention: rows such as "2 ready for pickup", "3 low-stock products" or "1 unread notifications". If nothing is waiting, you see "Nothing needs attention right now."
  6. Quick actions: Check in repair, New sale, Add customer, Add product.
  7. Recent repair tickets: the four newest tickets.
  8. Low-stock products: up to four products at or below their threshold, with the number of units.

At the top, the Dashboard also shows First steps with Kadenio, a checklist with Start free trial, Make a sale, Create a repair ticket, Set up payment methods, Add shop information and logo and Create a product. Each step has Open (or Review once done). When all steps are complete, you can select Hide completed steps.
